My son was born with the most beautiful black hair. He had a full head of soft black hair. At about 2-3 months his hair started to thin in the back of his head. Then at about 5 months he was completely bald on that spot... Will it grow back? And when?
My babies hair thinning....... is it normal?
It is common for babies born with a lot of hair to lose most or all of it, then grow it back. As long as the scalp looks normal, I wouldn't sweat it. Most babies have a pretty good head of hair by the time they are 9 months to a year old, even if they were completely bald earlier. If you are concerned, call your pediatrician, and/or ask about it at your next well baby visit.
Here's a web site about infant hair loss:

My babies hair thinning....... is it normal?
It comes from where newborns are almost always laying on their backs and rubbing that one spot...bald! All of my kids went through this and yes it does come back. Give it time..
My babies hair thinning....... is it normal?
It's probably because he is rubbing his head on the sheet / bouncy chair / whatever when he turns his head to look at things.
It will grow back once he starts spending most of his time sitting and no longer has his head resting on something the whole time, but it will take a while, because if he has a lot of hair on the rest of his head the short patch will be notieable even after it starts growing.

Babies always loose the hair on the back of the head and usually the rest as well.
My son did the same thing and was bald for 9 months.
As he grew he has Crew cuts as we has a swimming pool his hair is sooo think now he needs to have it thinned all the time.
Your baby's hair will grow back as for when I have no idea and besides they do look so cute

Its totally normal! No worries! I had thick thick thick black hair when I was born. My mother said that after a few months it all fell out and came in blond! I have the blondest hair now and I am 22... and it all grew back... no bald spots to speak of! I'm sure your little snook is cute, hair or no hair! Just hold out, it will come back!
