Do layers look good with thin hair?

I'm getting my hair cut, but i'm not sure if layers would look good. I have thin hair and i don't know what style would look good. Any ideas?

i have thin hair too and layers are the best thing. it gives it more shape and thickens it slightly. layers look so much more sophisticated and fun, way better than one plain straight cut.

Layers would look good with thin hair.. it might make it look thicker...

Do layers look good with thin hair?

Yes they do if your hair is longer, that way you can give it more volume with the layers. If your hair is past shoulder length and you get layers framing your face it will give you the oppurtunity to tease or put a volumizing moouse on your roots to give you more volume on the top which gives the illusion of thicker hair. Also texturizers are good to use with a cut like that because they can make your ends look amazing!

yes yes yes!!! the worst thing you would want to do for thin hair is to cut it evenly! that just brings out the flatness...which I'm guessing is not want you want. layers help boost the hair and give it some volume!

I have thin hair and layers. It gives it more volume and make it not so flat looking!

You should get a razor cut thats just a little above your shoulders, with layers !

trick is to go with long layers. also tell them not to go crazy with layers... sometimes these hair dressers go a little too crazy with their scissors... ask for a couple long, and one that fall around your chin.

layers look good with thin hair not with thick hair

i am saying this from experience... i have the thickest hair in the world and layers dont go with it...

Do layers look good with thin hair?

yes deff!! i have thin hair with layers in it %26amp;%26amp; love it so much more than when myhair hair was all one length.

get your hair dresser to cut your front bangs on an angle (but keeping them long at the same time) and get him/her to cut the back to where it looks like a "V". its a CUTE style!

((highlightts would add to the touch))

Do layers look good with thin hair?

Yes they do! If your hair is long, long framing layers look great and when curled they add volume. If you want to go super short, the styling pastes and mousse along with a good cut give a lot of height and volume without looking crusty and hard. My hair's thin and I've done both.

it will be fine.....just keep the bulk of the weight on the bottom, and then starting the layers at the top of the ears %26lt;this just means when the pull that section down to cut....start the layers in this area....it they start the layers at the bottom...then you hair will look thinner...and look like crap.....trust me I have thick hair and the guy that cut it for me.....put all my layers on the bottom...and my hair was stringy and thin......When I got home.....I made my husband cut 3 inches off....luckly.....this guy did not cut any length......yeah on that one.....but he did not follow my instructions on how I wanted my hair cut....and I did everything but draw him a picture.

Layering is a really good hairstyle for thin hair. What it does is cuts off a lot of the weight of the hair which then adds more volume to it. Is your hair short or long? Long, thin hair with layers MAY not boost the volume in the hair all that much.

I suggest looking up pictures of Jennifer Aniston, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, etc. I did that for my layered look that I have now. Christina Aguilera had a cute, medium, layered cut when she first 'came out'.

Yes layers do look good with thin hair. They make your hair look thicker also. When you get your hair cut you can ask the stylist what she thinks too.
